So for my current role we move in a very fast paced environment, and we brainstorm new ideas everyday on how to make our workflow more efficient and more reliable, which can definitely get overwhelming over time. So I would first assess projects' urgency and impact, and then for each project, I break it down into small milestones. After that I track them on project management tools like Jira to ensure I allocate my time effectively and communicate proactively with stakeholders

In my role leading the launch of that new customer onboarding system, the pressure was really on. We had that tight three-month window and a lean team to build something that would be the first impression for all our new users. One specific hurdle we faced was integrating our legacy customer database with this brand-new system. The data structures were quite different, and initially, the data migration process was proving to be much slower and more error-prone than anticipated. This threatened to push our launch date.

To tackle this head-on, I didn't just delegate. I dove into the technical details with the lead engineer. We mapped out the data fields meticulously, identified the key transformation rules needed, and actually prototyped a more efficient data migration script using Python. This allowed us to automate a significant portion of the process that was previously manual.

Furthermore, to ensure we were building the right thing quickly, we implemented very short feedback loops. We'd build a small piece of the onboarding flow, get immediate feedback from a small group of internal users, and iterate based on their input. For example, early on, users found a particular step in the registration process confusing. Based on their feedback, we completely redesigned that screen within a couple of days, leading to a much smoother experience.

By getting into the technical weeds to optimize the data migration and by relentlessly focusing on user feedback through rapid iterations, we not only overcame the risk of a delayed launch but also delivered an onboarding experience that was significantly more user-friendly than initially envisioned. It was incredibly rewarding to see new customers move through the system so smoothly right from day one. That success really underscored the power of combining technical problem-solving with a user-centric approach

Two Sum

You're presented with an array of integers and a specific target value. Your task is to identify and return the indices of two numbers from the array that add up to the target. You can assume there's exactly one solution, and you can't use the same element twice. The indices can be returned in any order.

Input: nums = [14,8,22,6], target = 20

Output: [1,3]

Explanation: The integers at indices 1 and 3 (8 and 6) sum up to 20, so we return [1, 3].

In my last role I had to make a UX decision about the product that will balance functionality for the user without compromising performance. After testing a few options and validating it with internal stakeholders I released the updated UX, but then the CEO (who was a heavy user of the product) was against that change. I saw down with him and explained my reasoning and the process that I took to validate the solution, and gave him the option to try it himself on an early version. Once he saw the big picture he agreed that my solution was the right approach, but asked that next time I will consult with him before releasing changes like this.

l, I initially built automation scripts for trade reconciliations and reporting using standalone Python and UNIX-based cron jobs. These worked well for smaller data volumes, but as our operations scaled across global teams in London, Hong Kong, and the Bahamas, performance and maintainability became a bottleneck.

I realized I needed to adapt my workflow to better support large-scale, distributed processes. So, I changed how I worked by migrating critical pipelines from PostgreSQL and flat scripts into a more robust ETL framework using Databricks and Delta Lake. I restructured batch processes into streaming jobs and modularized the Python code to be production-grade. I also started using Kafka and Kubernetes to improve system reliability and orchestration.

During my early days at Teradata in 2015, I received critical feedback from my manager and colleagues that, although I had strong technical skills, I wasn't very vocal in expressing my opinions during discussions. I initially found this feedback difficult to accept because I believed that my work alone should be enough to communicate my value.  The task was to enhance my communication skills, particularly during team discussions and design reviews, to ensure that my thoughts and ideas were being heard and valued, rather than relying solely on the quality of my technical work.  Taking the feedback to heart, I made a concerted effort to prepare thoroughly for design discussions and technical meetings. I started to actively participate by sharing my opinions on the designs, asking questions to gain clarity, and offering my technical insights. Additionally, I sought feedback from my colleagues to better understand how I could communicate more effectively in these settings.  By consistently engaging in discussions, I found that my opinions were appreciated and valued, which led to more productive conversations and collaborations. This not only helped me build stronger relationships with my teammates but also improved my overall presence in the team. Over time, I became more confident in expressing my ideas and saw growth in my ability to communicate complex technical concepts more clearly and effectively.

At hyperface we got requirement from product team to build a nudge engine, this will be a configuration driven engine and when a condition is met based on the configured communication pattern it is going to send the communication. Example : If user have done 5 transaction is flikart and an offer is going on to do 10 transactions to get a reward we will nudge user based on the communication channel and rules that nudge him on whatsapp this much time and send him the push notification.

When this product requirement came , product wanted to build each and everything as a single engine, but at that time I realized that having a separate notification service which will take care of all notification related stuff and we will be able to efficiently scale that system and prevent having a tight coupling  will be very helpful , but when I proposed this product did not agreed as they thought right now there is no usecase for making nudge engine and notification engine a separate component.

At that time I dicsucces this with my fellow EM and came to know that they are scenarios where they need to send notification for example otps , push notification and everyone is handling this in a custom way in there own code based . With all this data I went back to product team ann pitched them that having this notification engine all this custom handling will be gone we will have better mechanism to control notification  track metricies and and improve the experience by handling failure scenarios .

with this data I was able to convenience the product team to build to different systems.

I am pretty passionate about Reddit. In a world where media is biased and polarized, Reddit threads gives me a sense of how local communities view the world. It helps me get grounded in reality of what different cadres of people are thinking by browsing different communities. Reddit is very engaging, as in, you can comment and instantly receive feedback. While there is a lot of "internet hate" and "misinformation" in Reddit communities and threads as well, looking at a wider spectrum of communities within Reddit, especially the differing ones, helps you form a less polarized and biased opinion. I prefer contributing by asking open-ended questions and if I have an opinion, posting it respectfully as a question. I also respond to scientific minded questions that I have qualifications to answer. By selectively responding and answering questions with some due diligence, I keep the communities I am a part of thriving and truth-based.
