In the Meraki integration project, the supply chain process required significant optimization of the entire flow. To achieve this, most of the shipping-related process needed to be modified. However, the team lacked sufficient time to complete the work because the planned use of an adapter did not work, requiring me to redesign the flow.

With limited time remaining before system integration testing (SIT), the cross-functional teams and other tracks were ready to test their code, and management was unwilling to postpone SIT and Cycle 1 testing. Since there was an additional round of SIT and Cycle 2 testing planned, I decided to proceed with the changes that the team had already completed. We migrated the completed code to the test instance and communicated that only Phase 1 of the changes would be released initially, while the remaining changes would be delivered during Cycle 2 testing.

I ensured the Phase 1 delivery was designed to avoid impacting the end-to-end flow, allowing the other teams to proceed with testing their portions of the code. This approach ensured that other teams' deadlines were not affected. I also informed the cross-functional teams that the OTM and GTM changes were completed, and the remaining shipping-related code optimization would be delivered before Cycle 2 testing, along with the next round of SIT.

By taking this approach, I ensured that complete testing was not impacted and that the project stayed on track.

I was working on a high stake project with very high visibility from my senior management.

Me and my manager were thinking of can we leverage the quality of the development using help from QA team. He wanted to keep the QA team separate. His point of view was that a separate team would keep clear focus for the team and they would focus on finding more customer facing bugs. I thought that we should have QA embedded in the scrum team as that would help in easier collaboration and quicker bug fixes plus this is a more efficient way. Though I understood his point of view I always believed that in QA embedded inside the scrum team. I went back had a thought to measure the merits and demerits of the proposals. I put down in a slide the merits and demerits of each. Merit from having a separate team, clear focus and better filtering of quality, demerits less collaboration with development team. I then proposed that the QA engineers attend the calls of dev teams but keep a separate QA board for their tasks. This will give clarity of what bugs they find, what test scenarios they create and finally the metrics to measure the bugs reported per development. My boss and I both agreed as it solved the problems of each proposals

I see myself working at the intersection of engineering and quantitative finance ideally at a hedge fund such as Two Sigma. My past experiences at Harvard Medical School and internships at MITRE/rapStudy have given me an interest in creating scalable systems that are high performant and capable of ingesting large amounts of data for model development and research.  I strongly believe Two Sigma is the perfect place for me to work on these highly technical projects. Additionally, I also look forward to the prospect of entering leadership roles during my career, where I can play a more impactful role in prioritizing cultivation of engineering talent and projects in fields such as low-latency and data engineering.

I graduated in May 2024 and recently wrapped up my role at Bright Mind Enrichment. It was a great experience, and I stayed through my agreed-upon commitment.  At this point, I’m looking for a full-time opportunity that offers deeper ownership, long-term growth, and technical mentorship—especially in a full-stack environment like Atlassian’s.

As a QA leader I had to choose between run a full check of a new functionality that wasnt very popular or use or let the change pass over with the aprove of the PM for some time saving. I choose run the full check, take a few days more, but when the functionality goes to production it works well, without any bugs.

When buildling the next generation instance, during the planning phase I budget the amount of servers we will launch the product with. Given each server cost was over 2 million dollar I biased to towards frugality and provided a bare minimum number of server we could launch with. But what I completely missed was during the developement some servers will end up in bad state and the engineering team will short of servers to test the software and firmware getting built which made meeting the project timeline riskly and heavily dependent on delivery schedules of servers and them staying healthy. This quickly became a bottleneck that I realized. I quickly put togther a plan to request adittional server and provide a detailed breakdown on where and how these would be used during and after developement. Synced with the hardware and ODM team and executives to get a approval and ordered the parts to get the servers and racks build at ODM.

I am pretty passionate about Reddit. In a world where media is biased and polarized, Reddit threads gives me a sense of how local communities view the world. It helps me get grounded in reality of what different cadres of people are thinking by browsing different communities. Reddit is very engaging, as in, you can comment and instantly receive feedback. While there is a lot of "internet hate" and "misinformation" in Reddit communities and threads as well, looking at a wider spectrum of communities within Reddit, especially the differing ones, helps you form a less polarized and biased opinion. I prefer contributing by asking open-ended questions and if I have an opinion, posting it respectfully as a question. I also respond to scientific minded questions that I have qualifications to answer. By selectively responding and answering questions with some due diligence, I keep the communities I am a part of thriving and truth-based.
