Thank you for the question. I have been working as a data engineer for a combined total of three years, working closely with business leaders and engineers at different enterprises. where my main focus and speciality was in building reliable data pipelines that supports business decision making. I also have experience running a solo consultancy firm, where I have had the opportunity to consult and build end to end data products for businesses, which has allowed to be explore and hone my leadership, and communication skills on top of my technical expertise. Above all. in addition to the skills  I have learnt over the last three years, my experience in academia, especially as a consequence of my PhD research, I have a strong preference and a proven track record  in delivering complex analytical tasks.  All of the above essentially package me up as  an ideal candidate for this role.

i was head of events in a student activity called aces and it was a magnificent experience as i gathered a team wich i chose by myself and my partner as they all were hardworkers and creative thinkers of course we had some trouble with them as some of them were being lazy about doing there tasks or procranstinating but we were able to motivate them each time so they would give their best

We had to decide whether or not to keep investing in, or sunset a feature that came out of a hackathon project. The feature itself was well-coded, and the design was created by a designer, and functionally it worked. However, it was built on an untested assumption that customers would actually get value from automating and thus losing some control over a fairly sensitive and infrequent workflow. That meant that the feature was launched as quickly as possible due to the hackathon nature, and (i) confused customers, as it wasn't in our public roadmap or well packaged in the app, and (ii) led to low adoption and thus no meaningful testing feedback to further develop the feature. While there were hypotheses that an adapted version of the feature could be more valuable (and verified during sales demos) for a new, larger customer segment - we decided to instead deprecate the feature as it was a distraction, and not a high impact investment at the time given other priorities.

Learning:

- Have a product person leading any new feature, so that there is a clear value hypothesis and alignment with GTM functions to launch and communicate the feature successfully to customers

- Do not assume that customers will want to adopt something just because they mention it

- Well coded, designed feature without a clear value prop is still without value

Today I didn’t want to come to office directly, I wanted to start my day by visiting a temple, So, I first searched in map, to talk aloud of the temples nearby when I am driving my bike.

It started mentioning take left to go to abc temple, I know, if I take that left, it will be very long to my office. so, I skipped that left and proceeded further in my regular route to office. After few kms, it again started saying take right to go to def temple. This time, I wanted to take that route.

So, I have proceeded as per google map, and I reached the temple after 20 mins of drive. I finished my visit and started by bike again. I have again asked to talk aloud about the hotels nearby as I didn’t eat my breakfast today to accommodate to temple visit.

It again started directing me in the similar way.

In this whole journey, the problem which I faced as a user is, I haven’t changed my final destination which is real page, now that I am diverting to temple and hotel, its not talking aloud with the overall distance increased to RealPage, also the different routes I should take because of this diversion, which in turn leads me to more traffic than usual, and I will be delayed to office.

So, Problem statement here: Final destination is not changed, but requests for interim destination should also talk aloud on the possible route changes for the final destination and distance increase to the final destination

Persona: Dailu commuters who may have some diversions for other personal work.

PainPoints: Not easy to get the right route and the distance increased due to the diversion the user took.

Proposed solution:

Voice assistant to mention the increase of distance to the final destination, and mention the alternative routes, for Every diversion the user takes.

I was working with 5 customers at once, and had to focus on those activities where I could make a difference, make the most impact, that I could not delegate, and where I could balance with other priorities - in order to do that, I measured the priority of the tasks by the cost of delay, in other words, the impact of not doing them at that time. Then, with more clarity about the priorities, I thought which ones I could delegate to other team members, and if that made sense, with the required support and guidance from my side. Working as a team and not trying to get everything done yourself is key in the long term with multiple, competing priorities. Then, organizing my time well in short, focused timeslots for the most important tasks, made a difference.
