The coach clearly understood the Capital One interview format and helped reset my expectations around how the “mini-case” is structured, including the product/business discussion, metrics and A/B testing, UX evaluation, and prioritization components. We ran through a realistic Capital One Shopping case focused on growth and monetization, and the coach gave direct feedback on where I was strong and where I needed to tighten my approach. The most helpful feedback was to make my answers more conversational, avoid overusing rigid frameworks, answer the exact question first, stay closer to Capital One’s business model, and be more precise with metrics and denominators during A/B test analysis. I also appreciated the practical guidance on how to approach mockup critique, monetization ideas, and prioritization questions.
