Hi *******, Great to talk with you again. Your feedback has been invaluable. Am starting to get my head around the Google process and expectations. I now have a preparation plan and have started to work on implementation. You have been addressing my two main goals; to get comfortable with having an interviewer (practice, practice), and to identify the expectations (and maybe rubrics used), so that I can prepare for what can be prepared for (and know what to prepare for). Yes, to this point at least, I have not provided a star performance. I did start out awash (until very recently never had a TPM interview, and my last interviews for SDE were 16 years ago). Also, I was really not well prepared for a recent Amazon interview. Did not understand the expectations for TPM and had prepared incorrectly. This was practice for Google anyway. Finally, starting to have a good internal model of how the Google process works. Mostly it looks like preparation just requires deeper reflection on what I have done and especially what I have learned from failures, and some other new learning too. While the internet has helped, there is nothing like having a good coach. Thank you again ******* Would be helpful to discuss a company-by-company preparation guide. In other words, I would like to leave the conversation with a company specific (or general) plan. With the conversation I get something like that, but it is pretty vague.
