Senior SWE at Bloomberg, Capital One

Hi, I felt that the session wasn’t very useful. I had mentioned beforehand that I’m preparing for a new grad role, but it didn’t seem like the session was tailored to that expectation. We spent a significant amount of time on system design, which I understand is not typically part of the new grad interview process. I also asked for specific feedback—such as strengths, areas for improvement, or signals (green/red flags) interviewers look for—but the responses were quite general and not specific to Bloomberg or particularly actionable. I left the session feeling unclear about what I should focus on for my upcoming interview. There didn’t seem to be a structured plan for evaluating my skills, and while we went through a problem together, I didn’t receive concrete feedback on my performance or guidance on how to improve. I would really appreciate more targeted feedback and a clearer direction for preparation in future sessions. Thank you.
