Situation: I initially designed and developed a data solution to securely
transfer car's team data to Regtech Team. The solution was highly successful
thus other business vertical was wanted to replicate the same. because the
initial architecture was custom built for cars, team lacked standardizations,
leading to leading to ad hoc pipeline requests, manual handoffs and disparate
data schemas.

Task: I needed to pivot from a one off pipeline to scalable data delivery
framework. The goal was to create a scalable, reusable  system to allow secure
data delivery to Regtech with minimal engineering overhead while enforcing
complex legal and regulatory constraints.

Action:

1. I partnered with Regtech to understand gaps in the system.

2. To solve the chaos of different teams using different schemas I designed a
    data contract standard. This forced producer consumer alignment, defining
    strict schema, SLAs, validation rules and clear change management protocol
    before any data was moved.

3. Created a data parser utility to generate data assets from data contracts.

4. Created a data transfer utility to move secure data.

Result

Led to overall 30% improvement efficiency for all teams in the process by
reducing pipeline failures, back and forth discussion.

All vertices have now moved to the single framework and new requirements are
easy to cater.

At Auctane there was a decision made to migrate monolith to microservices, this
was significant undertaking for a company which was slow in technology adoption.
There was people upskilling challenges, product presure to add more features to
existing system and lack of resource in fullining the migration in a tight
deadline.
I worked an a stratergy with the product team and leadership to reduce number of
new features instead allow my team to focus on the migration part - after which
we can take the backlog items. 
Once I got a greenlight, I had a solutions architect come and take 1 week course
for our team to upskill, also encouraged them to take the AWS certification in
parallel.
I had to scale up my team with external hires, and during pandemic it was
challenge to hire any resource. Once I found the right resource, I enabled them
to be productive by having a buddy dev for 2 weeks - and then learn as they go.
I trusted them to be motivated and gave them the needed tools to succeed.
There was growing pains for us as team, but in the end, we successfully migrated
to microservices on time and within budget. If given a role at Meta, I will
bring the same phiolophy of empowring my team members to do thier job and
fostering an environment of innovate.

I look after our email platform and our existing solution wasn't flexible enough
to handle targeted messages at scale. We were missing an opportunity with users
to send personalised messages at the right time to help increase engagement. I
embarked on a project to implement a new marketing automation software. This
project required alignment across our product, data, retail, security and legal
teams. I spent time researching the availble tools in the marketing and
workshopping requirements with relevant stakeholders, we created an RFP and sent
to a number of suppliers. Each round of the RFP I assigned a score to the
company and gathered feedback from stakeholders. This ensured the decision
making process was fair and we had strong evidence when sharing the business
case to senior leadership.
Once we decided on the supplier, I was responsible for implementing the tool

and reconcile the data. While it was not the biggest feature, it had multiple
tricky edge cases and required a good deal of bug testing to ensure correctness.

Building a kanban board to manage cyber security uplift programs, where each
column represents different statuses which come from a workflow and each card
represents an activity in the uplift program. It is the most memorable, because
it made the life of the user easier, providing a UI to manage, report and
complete their programs with ease and with something they are familiar with

Most memorable project was working with data pipelines and refactoring the code
from purely python to mix of sql scripts and batch data streaming pipelines.
It impacted a lot in terms of data integrtity and faster excution.
