What do you see yourself doing in the next five years?

Five years down the line, I envision myself as a valuable asset to the organization, having made significant contributions to its success. I am dedicated to expanding my skill set and acquiring expertise in areas such as project management and cross-functional collaboration. My goal is to leverage my skills and knowledge to drive strategic initiatives and bring about positive change within the company. Ultimately, I aspire to be a trusted leader, guiding teams towards achieving ambitious goals.”

In today's circumstances, it is difficult to plan for 5 years, given that AI is changing the nature of jobs. But still, for the coming year I want to proceed to see myself as an expert in AI/ML from a business technology perspective. I also want to dive deep and see how much I can learn from an academic perspective. From there, I want to be an AI evangelist in the company, moving into internal AI advocacy identifying existing and future usecases I can optimise with AI. Then may be move into a larger AI advocacy role, where I can showcase our achievements in AI and make our company an optimum casestudy for AI.

In five years, I see myself having significantly expanded my skills in [relevant areas for the role]. I'm excited to deepen my expertise in [specific skills] and take on more challenging projects that allow me to grow professionally. My goal is to become a go-to resource within the organization.

I see myself working at the intersection of engineering and quantitative finance ideally at a hedge fund such as Two Sigma. My past experiences at Harvard Medical School and internships at MITRE/rapStudy have given me an interest in creating scalable systems that are high performant and capable of ingesting large amounts of data for model development and research.  I strongly believe Two Sigma is the perfect place for me to work on these highly technical projects. Additionally, I also look forward to the prospect of entering leadership roles during my career, where I can play a more impactful role in prioritizing cultivation of engineering talent and projects in fields such as low-latency and data engineering.

I would like to see myself leading the technical roadmap in data engineering domain and work to continuously improving customer experience by making data analytics simple enough to consume and play with without much technical background.

In the next 5 years I see myself as either a Machine Learning Engineer who is handling a tech product and leading a team or as an entrepreneur who has his own tech startup.

I will understand the current Role and Responsibilities. I will upskill myself if any lagging and do continuous learning. I try to implement all my best practices in the current organization. I try to ensure the service operation doing best at levels. I will seek for good opportunity where i can show my skill on those role and take additional responsibilities.
