How would you design a product to streamline the process of making doctor
appointments?

First I see how this tie into intuit mission statement - it powers the
prosperity of doctors which are either self employed or small businesses by
providing tools for ease of booking. This specifically makes a lot of sense when
it comes to Quickbooks as it streamlines the ability to run day to day
operations related to the business.

What is our business goal: Increase adoption/ Usage of quickbooks product?
Monetization? New customers? Let’s say increase Usage.

Segment - let’s discuss who are the potential users for this new tool ? The tool
is for doctors, the tool itself will be used by individuals looking to book an
appointment, or caregivers that need to book on behalf of their patients. I
would first prefer to focus on individuals booking appointments for themselves,
as this is the largest and primary segment.

Pains / What’s broken today:

* Visibility - into insurance coverage / cost structure and ability for waive
   of fees by insurance

* Live calendar

* Escalations - ability to request an urgent appointment in case of urgencies.

* Fast book - click of a button, without having to provide too many details.

* Reminders and changes

* Pre payments / Commitments if needed

* Proper documentations for future financials - submit to insurance etc.

I would like to prioritize the pains:

* Visibility is huge pain for patients (may require direct tie into accounting
   system)

* Live calendar + Fast book  + Reminder and changes - highly needed but was
   solved many times

* Escalations -

* Pre Payments - pain but not needed by all doctors.

* Proper documentation for future financials - also a pain for unorganized
   individuals

I would probably focus on the 1st and last pain.

Solution:

* Either integrate into existing systems or build one from scratch.
