My experiences strongly align with Two Sigma’s core values of collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaboration: Throughout my internships, I’ve worked on cross-functional teams to tackle complex problems. For example, at Google, I collaborated with a small team to build a real-time messaging and video calling platform, focusing on seamless communication and user privacy. This required close teamwork and leveraging each team member’s expertise to design a secure and scalable system that ultimately supported over 10,000 users. Similarly, at Equitable Holdings, I collaborated with stakeholders to develop a Python-based retirement savings model, ensuring that the final product addressed diverse investor needs.
- Intellectual Curiosity: My work at The Aerospace Adversary Lab showcases my drive to explore cutting-edge technologies and apply innovative solutions. I designed a multi-agent reinforcement learning framework to train satellites for autonomous navigation, blending advanced machine learning techniques with practical applications in space domain awareness. This project fueled my curiosity to dive deeper into reinforcement learning and blockchain technology, culminating in co-authoring a research paper. These experiences reflect my eagerness to push boundaries and learn continuously.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: In every role, I’ve used data to guide my decisions and improve outcomes. At Equitable Holdings, I employed linear programming and stochastic methods to handle market uncertainties, creating a model that offered more reliable retirement predictions. This approach exemplifies my focus on leveraging data and mathematical rigor to optimize solutions and deliver value.
- Taking Ownership: In all my projects, I’ve demonstrated a sense of responsibility and accountability. At Cornell, I led the development of “OCamelot,” a stock analysis library, expanding its scope into a full-fledged financial analysis platform. By driving this project’s direction and ensuring its success, I showed my ability to take ownership and deliver impactful results.
These experiences underscore my ability to thrive in a culture like Two Sigma’s, where collaboration, curiosity, and a data-driven approach are highly valued.
