I worked on a heterogeneous data collection framework for modem firmware where
the when and what data to be collected was configurable from server. I had to
work across server, data source modules and client team to deliver the
framework. The framework had to be scalable and performance efficient as the
actors on firmware were time bound. We developed and delivered the framework
with only two bugs reported till the official release and today there are almost
dozen tech teams registered and almost 10 TB data weekly across devices is being
collected from the framework and is being utilised for diagnostics by ims, RTP,
RF and Qcar teams.

I was working on an automation project for downstream CHO culture with a client
from a large pharmaceutical company that consisted of centrifugation of the
culture samples and aliquoting of extracellular medium into barcoded tubes
followed by immediate freezing. I was responsible for developing presales
concept, writing functional specifications and leading the implementation team.
I managed to win this changing project by showing we can handle the process
automatically by employing the newest technologies (fridge sized -20°C automated
freezer integration) and performing proof of concept for challenging liquid
handling step. The crucial and most challenging part however, was working
together with the users to adapt their workflow for automation - changing
labware used, optimising step order for batch-wise processing and devising data
flow between the liquid-handler, automated sample storage system and LIMS -
gaining stakeholders trust in the final solution.

We managed to deliver a successful project within timelines, but the most
gratifying were the words of the customer at the end of the project: we did not
only manage to automate the process to a degree we thought not possible, but it
was also fun.
