In my current role, I led a data strategy initiative that streamlined customer onboarding from up to two weeks to under a week, while addressing platform limitations to enable REST API frameworks and deliver new metrics. These achievements enhanced both operational efficiency and business growth.
I’m now seeking opportunities aligned with my long-term goals in data engineering leadership, where I can contribute to large-scale projects and deliver impactful solutions. Meta’s values—moving fast, building for the long term, and fostering respect—strongly resonate with me, making this an exciting opportunity.

I have been an engineering manager at my current company for 4 years and a total of close to 7 years. During my time as an engineering manager at my current company, I helped ICs grow and promoted several ICs including one to a tech lead. Held a high bar for the team to maintain productivity. Also worked on projects to support adding net new revenue streams and improve KPIs for the company. The company provided me with a lot of opportunities to grow to where I am today and I really appreciate that.
While I love my team and the company, after four years as an EM, my personal growth has started slowing down.
I looked into why my personal growth has been slowing down and found one standing out reason. The company is focusing on optimization over expansion. This led teams to focus on improvements over new things in general which is limiting pioneering new projects or expanding my managerial responsibilities.
I initially looked at what opportunities are available within the company but I didn’t find anything where I thought it would provide me a growth opportunity. Since my goal was to find a growth opportunity, I realized seeking new challenges elsewhere might be the best next step for my professional development. I am interested in roles that will provide me an opportunity to learn new things, and potentially expand on my managerial responsibility long term which would better align with my career growth and goals.

Im leaving my manager and not the role. It has been difficult to work with my manager. I constantly work on improving the areas identified for growth and learning, and have gained good knowledge about the company, commercial and connecting the business, product and tech strategy. Although its not recommended to speak about the current manager, it stays as a fact that the connection between my manger an me is tarnished and the best option here would be to look out for myself. My peers, and other executive members recognise my skills and appreciative of my performance.
