My decision to consider joining Meta is primarily influenced by its values, specifically the values of moving fast, focusing on the long term, and building great things. These values resonate with me and align with my previous experiences.
In my previous role as a Software Engineering Manager, I worked in various areas that operated like startups, including Chromecast, Fuchsia, and Flutter. Although part of Google, these three areas demonstrated agility by experimenting, adapting execution plans, and learning from their experiences.
Fuchsia exemplifies the long-term focus, as a new operating system requires substantial investment before tangible results can be seen.
Working on Flutter aligns with Meta's value of building great things. The product was developed with a strong emphasis on user needs and has become one of the most popular multiplatform development frameworks.
The alignment of my experience with Meta's values, combined with the scale of its products and potential for career development, makes me open to the opportunity of joining Meta.
