I am a software engineer with over 7 years of experience at Amazon. The first
team I worked with was Amazon Brand Registry where I was responsible for
migrating the brand data store with over 1M brands to a graph datastore as both
a company-wide effort to move off of relational database and to support the
expansion of the datastore to support new relationships between brands, accounts
and IP. After that, I moved to my current team where I was responsible for
building microservices that provide translation and other text analysis services
to other clients. We started with a single client acting as a bridge for
language barrier between seller support associate platform and sellers and
growing to extend use cases to be able to support 20+ clients and providing an
annual cost savings of more than 12M$ in operational costs.
