I believe that the best type of technological improvements that someone can make
are the types of things that improve a user's experience without them having to
necessarily notice or do any additional work. For example one of my favorite
improvements was on ios where they made it so the one time authentication login
codes get automatically filled in for users with a single click instead of them
having to go to their text messages. Or to give another example it's like how
users when their windows desktop has an error they're not surprised they expect
it, but when their phone has an issue they're surprised it's not as common they
it's more intuitive for them.

One of the things that one of my old jobs was we had a code analysis linter
software which would automatically check all bits of code to flag potential
errors or stylistic issues.  Sometimes I wouldn't always understand what those
errors meant so I'd have To spend time researching the problem. Once I figured
out what the error actually meant I would go back and rewrite the description
for those errors and submit that as a pull request so that anyone else who
encountered the same error wouldn't have to spend that time doing that research
if they weren't already familiar just to clarify the issue. And even better than
that I would often if possible write code to automatically suggest Solutions to
the problem so they can click one button and the code would be fixed for them.
It's the type of thing that fades into the background where a programmer Likely
won't think about how their workflow has improved because of this but
collectively it will save a lot of time and effort in the long run.

learning and adaptation. As an Data Scientist, I'm constantly evolving trying
new mathematics and statistic skills to improve each machine learning steps
understanding. For instance, i am actually enhancing my understanding about

recently gotten into WWOOFing, which is an organization that allows you to
volunteer on independent organic farms. Went on my first trip this month! I’ve
applied a lot of lessons in woodworking to my professional life too, like

I wrote the rules of World Dodgeball. I am the chair of the technical committee
of the World Dodgeball Federation, which means I am running regular meetings to
work on improving the rules of the game, mediating between different opinions
and working and adapting to cultural differences from all over the world.
 Having this position, means that I have to publicly support and carry decisions
that I might have voted against as a committee member, but that I need to
explain as if they were my own to members of the community. It also means taking
in a lot of feedback, some more to the extreme, about how the rules should be.

I once set out to read the entire bible in one year. 
Scenario: I teach a youth class at my church on Sundays and one of the
encouragements I share with my students is the importance of researching the
text of the bible. I felt that I had to hold myself to a high standard and
encourage my students by doing the same.

Task: Read the entire bible in one year, share my progress and experience with
my students throughout the year.

Actions: Set goals of chapters to read and discuss with my students, shared my
progress including my failings and plans to recover with the students. Invite
them to come along with me on the journey.

Results: Where not every student decided to follow along and not every one that
did was able to keep up. I had 3 that did follow along. We completed the bible
in about 11 months and the relationship built endures till this day. It was a
great leadership and team building accomplishment for me.

I can share couple of things on personal front.
To start with I am father of a seven year old daughter and love spending time
and keeping pace with her curious questions. I am trained teacher in yoga and
mindfulness through Art of Living. I did their advanced courses and practice
breathing exercises regularly called "sudarshan kriya". This helps me keep my
mind calm and focused and upto pace in daily rigor. It has also been a big help
at times when I felt overwhelmed.
