At Auctane, during a critical phase of development, our Senior Developer left
the team. Initially, I believed the remaining team members could absorb the
workload, and I planned to hire a mid-level engineer as a replacement. However,
as the sprints progressed, I noticed a decline in the quality of our
deliverables, and the bug count began to rise.
Recognizing that our standards were slipping, I took corrective action by
temporarily borrowing a Senior Developer from another team to provide the
technical leadership we needed. Simultaneously, I accelerated the hiring process
to bring in another Senior Engineer as a long-term solution. With strong
leadership restored, the team was able to get back on track, and we successfully
delivered the project on time.

At Auctane, during the development of the a key phase, Sr. Dev left the team.
Initially I believed that rest of folks can pick the slack and I can hire a Mid
level engineer in place. But as the sprints progressed, I saw that the quality
of the delivery was down and bug count was creeping up. I took a corrective
action, by borrowing a Sr. Dev from another team while I tried to back fill with
another Sr. Engineer. By having this new Sr. Engineer lead the team I could get
the project back on track and could deliver the project on time.

At Auctane, we had to migrate to Cloud and learning multiple technogoies such as
lambda.SQS dynamodDB and ELk all the same time. 75% of those were enthustic in
putting the effort and learning , while delivering the tasks. But there were few
who were relectant to learn this new tech stack, this dragged down the needed
velocity of sprints and would have impact on subesequnet sprints. I had to
install growth mind set  - by acokwnlwding that failure is part of growth and
that not trying to learn new things was not part of our culture. By encoraging
and setting a goal for each of team members to learn on new tech stack- I could
help the team move to newer stack and increased productivty by 20%.
