When I was working as member care rep we had a team project that had to due with
proposing a way to increase first call resolution.  Now you'd think fcr isn't a
problem but it is.  No one seemed excited about this particular project and you
could feel.  I felt different Nd to get my team on bored, I put them in the
lives of our members and did a few mock calls so they voild undersrabd yhr
frustration of having to call back when their issue isn't taking care of on
their first call.  It not only causes the member to question us as a company but
also that of the rep.  The outcome was pretty cool and my team could see and
understand the importance of  first call resolution.  We went on to create a
great project with everyone on board.

Usually in one's career sometimes they are asked to work on somehting which they
are not motivated to work for and it's not as challenging as other projects.
Then I usually try to align the work they doing to not what I or compnay would
gain form it rather what is their benefits from it. Also, at teh same time
acknowledging the downsides of that project like it;s legacy systems and may not
give them greenfield field projects opportunities for you but they are bread and
butter and their continuity is important and  usually these projects generate
better impact which is were performance reviews are very helpful
