Amazon mission is to be the earths most customer centric company. It has strives to attract best talent, nurture and grow the talent in it's ecosystem. Amazon over period has grown multi-folds with various organizations, sub-organization and 2 pizza teams. This increase in the size of the company has brought in more process, and hierarchy. It is inevitable to remove process and hierarchy completely, but a balance can be achieved. My suggestion for one thing to change in Amazon is to bring balance by encouraging employees to proactively cross collaborate without thinking about organization boundary at least once a year for few weeks. This will allow employee to learn big picture about what other organization are building, create network and eventually be more motivated to stay at Amazon. This also ties to Amazon's aims to be worlds best employer.
